This 30 hour musical cuckoo was also made in the "Black Forest" of Germany, circa 1970's and is the "hunters" style in full color. Most of the cuckoos are a uniform brown for all its parts, this one was hand painted to show the details of the clock.
Close up of the clock showing the rabbit, pheasant, deer and crossed rifles. The door at top left is for the man to come out when the music plays and the door on the top right is for the cuckoo to come out as the clock strikes.

This shows the "works" of the clock. It has a triple train works which adds to the complexity of the works, this means there is a series of gears for the music, strike and the running of the clock .
